Our Lady of Lourdes Primary, Blackburn
The motion
That the Parliament commends Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School in Blackburn, West Lothian, on being presented with a bronze level Attachment and Trauma Sensitive Schools Award in recognition of its staff's commitment to provide a framework of support and understanding so that the pupils, a number of whom are adopted, in local authority care or live with parents who cannot meet their needs, can heal, thrive, play and learn; applauds the school on its positive approach, which makes the children feel happy, loved, heard and understood, leaving them in a state of learning readiness, and praises the staff on developing a culture of compassion and nurture, which aims to the pupils the best opportunity to learn and succeed.
