West Calder High School, Education Building Project of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates West Calder High School on winning the Project of the Year title at the Education Building Scotland Awards; acknowledges that the award recognises the school's innovative design and the collaborative working that made the project such a success; understands that it was delivered for West Lothian Council by its development partner, Hub South East, and the main contractor, Morrison Construction; notes that it was designed by Norr Architects with the aim of being an ideal platform for learning in line with the very latest educational thinking; commends the school for winning this award; acknowledges its previous accolades, including winning the 2017 Inspiring Learning Space Award and a silver in the Best Social Infrastructure category at the 2018 Partnership Awards, and wishes all of its staff and pupils the very best.
