Ross-shire Graduate Recognised for Engineering Excellence
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Brian Johnstone from Alness on winning the Willie Printie Prize for Engineering Excellence, which is awarded annually in recognition of academic excellence in engineering; notes that winners are selected from graduating engineering students from across the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) partnership; understands that Brian was chosen for his academic and professional development, which saw him progress from an electrical apprenticeship to a university degree, then into a senior position in NHS Highland’s facilities department; wishes Brian all the best for the future, and congratulates all those who were nominated for the prestigious award.
