Davy Provan and his Valuable Support for the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal
The motion
That the Parliament thanks Davy Provan, Scotland and St Mirren supporter and founder and sole member of the Cyprus Tartan Army, who has, through his personal efforts, arranged travel for Scotland supporters attending away matches involving approximately over 100 coaches in four different countries; notes that proceeds from the coaches and other charitable exercises undertaken have resulted in contributions to the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal, totalling in excess of £12,000; understands that the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal contributes to children’s charities in every country in which the Scotland national football team plays and that this magnificent sum enables them to carry on their valuable and inspiring charitable work, and believes that these selfless actions by Davy are an example to all and allows the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal to continue to present the best aspects of Scottish philanthropy to the international community.
