Green Future for West Lothian Council
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates West Lothian Council, which has been named as the second best local authority area in Scotland for recycling, with 65.2% of all waste recycled during 2018 and its overall carbon emissions being reduced by 30% since 2013-14; acknowledges that over £1 million has been invested in 2019 by the council to improve the energy efficiency of its buildings, and notes its commitment to introduce further climate-friendly measures to address the climate emergency.
