Galloway Community Hospital
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Galloway Community Hospital (GCH) in Stranraer on the positive recognition of its care of older people; celebrates the work of its friendly and approachable staff, who it considers treat older people with dignity and respect; acknowledges that GCH received an unannounced inspection by Healthcare Improvement Scotland and received a very positive report on its conduct; believes that this builds on its great reputation, as well as a positive inspection report by Healthcare Environment Inspectorate earlier in 2019 regarding infection control and cleanliness; acknowledges previous bronze awards for Dalrymple Ward and Garrick Ward, as well as a Mentor of the Year award from the University of the West of Scotland, and commends the excellent work carried out by all staff, who it considers are a credit to NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
