Asda Foundation Supports Seven Local Community Projects in Motherwell and Wishaw
The motion
That the Parliament commends Asda’s Motherwell and Newmains stores on their continued support of local community groups and charities; recognises that the Asda Foundation provides grants to a range of good causes in Scotland, with each project nominated by shoppers and the community they serve; notes that the Foundation also funds the Green Token Giving programme, which gives customers the chance to vote for their favourite; understands that in the recent round of voting Sacro and Newmains Primary School were each awarded £500, with runners-up Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland, The Chain Gang, Made 4U in ML2 and Overtown Community Nursery & Toddlers all receiving £200, and wishes all groups and charities well for the future.
