OPITO Funding for Aberdeen Science Centre
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes OPITO’s £600,000 investment in the Aberdeen Science Centre, which is currently undergoing a multi-million pound redevelopment; understands that the funding will be used to create the OPITO Theatre of Energy, an attraction that aims to broaden people’s understanding of energy and the energy industry; recognises that the content of the OPITO Theatre of Energy has been guided by an advisory group that includes representatives from the Aberdeen Science Centre, OPITO, the Oil & Gas Technology Centre, Shell, the Institute of Physics and the Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group, and looks forward to the reopening of the Aberdeen Science Centre in summer 2020.
