Musselburgh Eatery, East Coast, Receives Multiple Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates East Coast, a Musselburgh-based fish and chip shop and seafood and grill restaurant, on receiving three awards for its excellence as an establishment; recognises that the eatery was named Best High End Fish and Chip Take Away at the Food and Drink Awards 2019, which was hosted by LUX Life Magazine; acknowledges that the venue also earned the Contemporary Restaurant of the Year award at the Edinburgh Prestige Awards; notes that the eatery also won a Good Food Award for its fish and chips; understands that East Coast, formerly named The Coral Reef, has been a family business since 1974; appreciates that the owners, Carlo and Katia Crolla, were raised in the industry and have used their family heritage to bring East Coast its many successes; appreciates the hard work of Carlo and Katia, and all the staff who maintain the eatery’s reputation for excellence; wishes everyone at East Coast the very best for the future, and hopes that they will continue to receive well deserved praise.
