Scotland Captain Retires from International Career

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges the contribution that Greig Laidlaw, who captained Scotland more than any other player and is the country’s second all-time points scorer, has decided to call time on his international rugby career; congratulates Greig on what has been a stellar test career; understands that this has included 76 appearances for Scotland, 39 in which he led the team, scoring 714 points, as well as appearing on the World Cup stage on numerous occasions; appreciates the significant impact that Greig has had on the game, both on and off the field, and wishes him the very best for the future.
