Awards for St Andrew’s First Aid Volunteers
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates volunteers from St Andrew’s First Aid on being recognised by HRH The Princess Royal for their outstanding work in the organisation; understands that Tom Donaldson and David McLean, both from Wishaw Company, and Christine Sommerville, Gerry Docherty and John Ritchie of Motherwell Company, received awards for 30 years’ service, while Iain Cuthbertson of Motherwell Company and Ian Holmes of Hamilton Company received awards for 55 years’ service; understands that the charity, which was formed in 1882, provides first aid training and supplies, volunteering opportunities and first aiders for events; recognises the commitment of all St Andrew’s First Aid volunteers, and wishes them well for the future.
