The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Strathnaver Museum on being awarded £650,000 from the National and Cultural Heritage Fund, which is led by Scottish Natural Heritage; understands that this will be used for the redevelopment and conservation of the historic church building, including building an annex to explore the agricultural story of the area that it serves, improving its layout to allow more items to be put on show and running a three-year community programme of activities to share and gather information about Mackay Country; notes the importance of the building and the area, including their significance to the Highland clearances, and wishes the project every success.
