Castlepark Community Association, Irvine
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges that the Castlepark Community Association, which is in Irvine and works to alleviate poverty, social isolation and poor mental health, has been awarded £30,000 by the North Ayrshire Ventures Trust to safeguard staffing costs over the next three years; appreciates that the Ventures Trust was developed to enable voluntary, community and social enterprises grow and improve long-term sustainability; notes that the money will be used by the Association to develop the role of its community builder, who works to empower it to be more active in the area, and to create new activities in its hub for residents; commends all involved with the Association on their hard work and dedication, and wishes them every future success.
