Grange Primary School and Nursery Class Praised by Inspectors

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Grange Primary School and Nursery in Bo’ness on the outcome of an inspection by Education Scotland, which resulted in an evaluation rating of "Excellent"; notes that the report of the inspection praised the inspirational leadership of the headteacher in her relentless drive to ensure no child misses out, while support from highly effective deputy and principal teachers working seamlessly together ensured that innovative approaches to self-evaluation lead to improved outcomes for children; recognises the efforts of teachers in the school who provide consistently high-quality learning and teaching across the nursery and school, and the outstanding sense of teamwork within the school, and across the board with parents and partners playing a key role in supporting the school to continue to succeed; considers the positive impact the school has on the children as vital, and that it contributes to the school having articulate and creative children who are highly motivated to learn and confident in contributing to their own learning; commends the staff at Grange Primary School and Nursery, and wishes them continued success in the future.
