Success for the Inverclyde Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Team
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the five members of the Inverclyde Brazilian Jiu-Jitzu (BJJ) team on bringing home four gold, four silver and one bronze medal, and the trophy for second-place team, at the All Stars BJJ Northern Pro competition in Manchester; recognises that, despite its small size, this represents the most medals collected by the team in one competition day; notes that it included Reece McEwan, who will be making his professional mixed martial arts debut in February 2020 after a four-year amateur career; wishes Reece well as he takes his career to the next level, and wishes all who train with Inverclyde BJJ every success at future competitions.
