Fife Concert Promoter Recognised as Unsung Hero
The motion
That the Parliament notes the success of the Inverkeithing resident, Kevin O'Neill, in making it into the top 10 Unsung Heroes in Prog Magazine's public vote; understands that this related to his role in organising a new progressive rock festival that took place at Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline in April 2019; notes that thousands of pounds were raised for two cancer charities in the course of the festival; recognises that Kevin has faced significant health challenges, being one of only 15 people in the world to be diagnosed with malignant myopericytoma and that, despite life-saving surgery in 2015, he has to manage his condition daily, and wishes Kevin well in his future endeavours, including Prog in the Park 2.0, which is due to take place in April 2020.
