LGBT History Month, What Have We Learned?
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes LGBT History Month, which takes place every February; notes that the theme for 2020 is, What have we learned? 20 years since the repeal of Section 28; acknowledges that this will reflect on the multi-generational impact of the Local Government Act 1988 in Scotland and the steps that the country has taken to undo its legacy; encourages people to take part in the huge range of arts, cultural and educational events taking place across Scotland during the month; thanks LGBT Youth Scotland for co-ordinating this as part of its vision to make Scotland the best place to grow up for LGBTI young people, and wishes all of the groups, organisations and individuals involved with the month success for their events.
