Cromarty Firth Port Authority Community Sponsorship Programme

The motion

That the Parliament commends the efforts of Cromarty Firth Port Authority, which has donated £35,922.98 to a number of causes in 2019 through its Community Sponsorship Programme; acknowledges that the programme aspires to improve, safeguard and develop Cromarty Firth communities for the benefit of local people; understands that recipients in 2019 included the Highland Hospice, Heartstone, RNLI, Cromarty Community Care Project, Invergordon Golf Club, Community Spirit Invergordon, Invergordon Museum, Highland Girls FC, SR Film Photography, Rosemarkie Beach Caves, Saltburn & Westwood Community Council, Nigg Community Hall and the primary schools within the Invergordon catchment area; acknowledges that there was a 24% increase in donations by the Cromarty Firth Port Authority this year compared with last year; notes that applications for sponsorship are open for March 2020, and welcomes every effort that the Cromarty Firth Port Authority is making to support worthy projects in the local community.
