Opening of £78 Million Forth Valley College Falkirk Campus
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the opening of Forth Valley College’s brand new Falkirk Campus, which also operates as its headquarters; understands that the new state-of-the-art campus is a £78 million investment in further and higher education in the Falkirk district, providing a modern environment for students to learn and take the next steps in becoming Scotland’s next generation of leaders; congratulates all staff, under the leadership of the Principal, Dr Ken Thomson OBE, in preparing the new facility to accept students in early January 2020; notes that the Scottish Government provided £65 million for the construction of the new facility, which it considers marks another example of its commitment to further and higher education in Scotland; wishes all staff and students well in their new educational home, and looks forward to the official opening in the near future and hearing of more success for all involved with the college.
