Neil Ackerman Wins the Robertson Medal
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Orkney College UHI student, Neil Ackerman, on being awarded the Robertson Medal from the Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland for the academic year 2019-20; understands that the award recognises the most outstanding candidate on the Carnegie Trust’s scholarship programme; recognises that Neil is the first postgraduate student to win the award and has been selected in recognition of his exceptional research into the first settlements in the Scottish Neolithic period, which has helped to advance understanding of the Ness of Brodgar on Orkney; congratulates Neil on being selected for this prestigious honour; considers that it is a well-deserved achievement for his hard work and tremendous commitment, and wishes him all the best for the remainder of his research.
