Fife Flyers Celebrate Pride Weekend
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the Fife Flyers for launching their first Pride event to promote the message that all are welcome and valued in the sport; recognises the historic occasion of having all 10 teams within the league celebrate Pride Weekend; understands that the Flyers have teamed up with Fife Pride and Kirkcaldy High School’s LGBT+ group; further understands that the Flyers are motivated to work with their junior club coaches to make sure that they are able to support young hockey players; notes that the team will also welcome members of the Fife Pride organisation rink-side at a forthcoming game, and commends the groups for working together to raise awareness of LGBT+ causes and organisations.
