Julia Marshall Awarded the Jimmy Murphy Memorial Trophy
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Julia Marshall, who is from Grangemouth, on being awarded the 2020 Jimmy Murphy Memorial Trophy for her lifetime devotion to helping others, including through her 30 years in roles at the Red Cross, her 20 years helping out at The Dolphins Club at Grangemouth Sports Complex, which provides swimming sessions for people with special needs, physical disabilities or recovering from injuries or illnesses, and her current work with Zetland Parish Church in supporting the local community; understands that the award was created in memory of Jimmy Murphy, who was also from Grangemouth, who went above and beyond the call of duty for his community, and celebrates the lifetime effort made by Julia and all those who help others in their communities.
