Scotmid Co-operative Hosts the World's Biggest Burns' Supper
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Scotmid Co-operative on hosting the World’s Biggest Burns' Supper on 24 January 2020 at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh as part of the celebrations to mark its 160th anniversary; applauds all of the 926 people who were in attendance to celebrate the national bard; welcomes the news that the company's charity of the year, Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland, will benefit from the proceeds that were raised, and believes that, "if you want to be a record-breaker", then cooperation "is what you need".
