Shetland Sheepdogs Raise Money for Charities
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Kaylee Garrick and her seven Shetland sheepdogs on raising over £2,000 for charity by creating a calendar filled with pictures of the pack; understands that this includes the Shetland sheepdogs Fenton, Thiago, Thorin, Gimli, Murphy and Jara, and an Alaskan Klee Kai called Ghost dressed up in colourful kilts, Shetland knits and even as Peaky Blinders; further understands that the money raised will be put towards the Ambulance Staff Charity, which supports people in the ambulance community with their mental, physical, financial and general wellbeing, and Bravehound, which trains therapy dogs for war veterans; notes that the calendars sold out straight away, after the themed pictures became popular in Shetland and beyond through social media, and considers that these dogs definitely deserve a treat.
