Morrisons Alloa Fundraising for CLIC Sargent in Support of World Cancer Day
The motion
That the Parliament understands that staff at Morrisons in Alloa are to host a day of fundraising in aid of children and young people with cancer; notes that they will be marking World Cancer Day on 4 February 2020 at the supermarket and will be selling limited edition charity wristbands in aid of the charity, CLIC Sargent, which supports young people with cancer, and will be highlighting the disruption and devastation that a diagnosis has on the lives of children; understands that Morrisons will also have buckets at the tills to collect more for its charity partners and that it hopes to bring in local CLIC Sargent volunteers for more direct fundraising; notes that staff will also be running a raffle for a hamper on 5 and 6 February; congratulates everyone involved for their magnanimous gesture, and wishes them all the very best with this excellent initiative.
