20th Anniversary of Orkney's Community Development Fund
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the 20th anniversary of Orkney Island Council’s Community Development Fund; acknowledges that the fund provides grant assistance of up to 50% of project costs and has generously supported around 150 different local projects across Orkney since its inception; understands that one of the fund’s key features is its flexible eligibility criteria, which has helped groups to progress a wide range of projects that have been of enormous benefit to communities across the county; congratulates everyone who has helped to develop and promote the fund over the last 20 years, recognising the significant difference that it has made to people’s lives during this time, and hopes that groups across Orkney will continue to take advantage of the funding being made available to them for many more years to come.
