Douglas Academy Inventors Hope to Win With Diabetic Assistance App
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the young inventors from Douglas Academy in Milngavie who have reached the semi-finals of the UK-wide competition, the Nesta Longitude Explorer Prize; notes that the pupils were commended for their app, DADA, (Douglas Academy Diabetic Assistance), which connects to an artificial pancreas to monitor blood sugars and shows the results in real time on phones; commends the innovation and entrepreneurship of the young people, and wishes them well for the rest of the competition.
