Tributes to Popular Doctor Who Helped Victims of Piper Alpha
The motion
That the Parliament notes with sadness the death of the Aberdeen doctor, Professor Graham Page, who was a consultant at the A&E department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary from 1981 until 2010; recognises the contribution that he made as the doctor in charge of the unit on the night of the Piper Alpha tragedy when 167 men died; respects that medicine was his lifelong passion, which kept him just as busy in retirement as it did during his days as a consultant; highlights that family, friends and colleagues held him in great esteem as a boss, mentor and role model; applauds his innovative approach to looking after seriously ill patients, and celebrates the remarkable legacy that he leaves behind.
