Double Gold Medals for Milngavie Cycling Champions
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the cycling stars from Milngavie, John Archibald and Anna Shackley, on each winning double Gold at the UK National Track Championships in Manchester; understands that John retained his individual pursuit title and was part of the men’s pursuit team, which won in a record-breaking time, and that Anna won her medals in the women’s points race, for which she was presented with a national champion’s jersey, and the women's team pursuit; commends John and Anna on these fantastic achievements and their skill and determination; applauds all of the incredible athletes who took part in the championships, and wishes them, and John and Anna, continued success.
