Greenock Gym First in Scotland to Offer 3D Body Scan

The motion

That the Parliament commends Andy Armour, who owns the recently-opened Urban Fitness Centre in Greenock, on it becoming the first gym in Scotland to offer a 3D body scan, which uses artificial intelligence to more accurately examine a client’s health and weight; understands that this state-of-the-art equipment provides information on body composition, including body fat and circumference, which will help Andy and his team of qualified personal trainers design workouts and nutritional programmes for clients that suit their body type and goals; recognises that Urban Fitness Centre also offers assessments on blood pressure and oxygen saturation levels; believes that Andy, who is an experienced strength and conditioning coach who has worked with Scottish Rugby and St Mirren FC’s youth teams, as well as training amateur and professional boxers, is providing a unique fitness experience for people living in Inverclyde, and hopes that it will encourage more people to get more active and invest in their physical health.
