Valleyfield Community Club
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Valleyfield Community Club has been awarded £89,990 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the group will use the funding to employ a part-time food development worker to work with residents to set up and run training sessions and activities to allow them to gain skills in cooking on a budget; notes that this includes zero-waste awareness, including reducing food waste and horticultural skills being taught in the allotments next to the club; understands that a part-time caretaker will also be employed to aid the smooth running of the club; notes that the roof of the club will also be replaced to allow it to continue to serve as the social hub of the village, and congratulates everyone involved on their continually excellent work for the community.
