The Green Blue

That Parliament welcomes 2020 as the Year of Coasts and Waters and notes the wide and varied events that will take place across Scotland to promote its coastline and inland waters, as well as its many traditions; further notes what it considers the excellent initiative, The Green Blue, which is jointly funded by the Royal Yachting Association and British Marine and delivered in Scotland through the Royal Yachting Association Scotland and British Marine Scotland, which has been operating for 12 years with the aim of providing education to those who use Scotland’s waters for marine tourism activities; welcomes the continued investment in The Green Blue from the three organisations and the increasing environmental awareness that has been generated; notes that a climate emergency is in place and acknowledges that environmental practices on land can and do have an effect on Scotland's waters; congratulates everyone involved with The Green Blue initiative, and wishes it continued success in its efforts.
