Dumfries and Galloway Skiing Success in Special Olympics
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the team of skiers, four of whom are from Dumfries and Galloway, who recently competed at the 2020 Special Olympics GB National Alpine Skiing Championships in Crans Montana, Switzerland; recognises that the group successfully crowd-funded the trip themselves with a huge amount of dedication; applauds their success in achieving six medals, including two golds for Ryan Powell, two silver for Haydon Keir, one silver and one bronze for Lennon Hughes and two seventh place ribbons and a fourth place for Sam Pattinson; highlights the support given by the Disability Development Officer, Laura Vickers, from Dumfries and Galloway Council, and all others who have supported the group, and wishes the team every success for the future.
