NHS Lanarkshire Clinical Departments Awarded University Status
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates NHS Lanarkshire’s departments of podiatry, psychological services and stroke care at University Hospital Monklands on being awarded university status; recognises the outstanding pioneering collaboration between Glasgow Caledonian University and NHS Lanarkshire, which is the first in the UK based around wider healthcare collaboration, rather than medical education alone; appreciates the collaborative and innovative approach to vastly improving the health of individuals, communities and society, and wishes both institutions every success with their ongoing work and continued cooperation.
