Bo’ness and Area Community Bus Association

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Bo’ness and Area Community Bus Association on its £50,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund; notes that the group operates two bus routes and a hire service that provide vital lifelines for a community that has limited public transport options; believes that this funding will provide invaluable resources to the small organisation, which comprises of a group of voluntary trustees, a staff of three drivers and an operations manager; appreciates that the award will allow it to hire a project manager to support the continued growth and success of the project and contribute towards the purchase of a wheelchair accessible minibus; understands that over 10,000 people have benefited from free travel since the group started in May 2017, and wishes all involved with it continued success in delivering its service.
