Slamanannan and Limerigg Gala Day Lottery Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Slamannan and Limerigg Gala Day on securing £9,800 from the National Lottery Awards for All Scotland programme; acknowledges that the funding will enable the group to hold a gala day in May 2020; recognises that this is a significant achievement for the local community given that it will be the first gala day held in the area since 1999; notes that there is special significance in rejuvenating the local gala day after a 50th anniversary reunion event was held last year for former gala queens; applauds the group for the regular fundraising events held to secure resources, including the upcoming fundraising night on 28 March, and wishes the Slamannan and Limerigg Gala Day the very best in re-establishing as a regular community event in the future.
