No Smoking Day 2020
The motion
That the Parliament celebrates No Smoking Day, which takes place on 11 March 2020; considers this a great opportunity for people to stop smoking and to celebrate the many positive benefits that people can get from quitting; acknowledges that Quit Your Way is Scotland’s national stop smoking service and provides free support and assistance to people who want to stop; recognises what it sees as the excellent work already being done by Quit Your Way advisers and local smoking cessation services across Scotland, which ensure people have the support they need to stop smoking successfully; congratulates everyone who has stopped smoking, and encourages those wishing to quit to get in touch with a Quit Your Way adviser, which is easy and convenient to do at nhsinform.scot/campaigns/quit-your-way-Scotland.
