Aberdeen Green Token Giving Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Friends of the Special Nursery, which supports babies who are born too early or too sick to survive without medical intervention, on winning the Asda Bridge of Dee Green Token Giving programme’s customer vote and an award of £1,000; further congratulates the runner-up, Grampian Kidney Patients Association, which offers personal and financial support to patients with end stage renal failure and their families, on receiving £500; notes that, in celebration of the Asda Foundation’s 30th anniversary, the local charities, groups, schools and good causes nominated for Green Token Giving during Q4 last year saw their donation doubled; notes that the programme gives local customers the chance to vote for projects that matter most to them; thanks the Asda Foundation for its continued support of local communities, which has seen more than £400,000 invested in community projects and worthy causes in 2019, and hopes that many more local organisations will continue to benefit from the awards.
