Motion · S5M-21055 · 27 Feb 2020
Fife College Breakfast Club
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Fife College Breakfast Club, which has served over 10,000 free breakfasts in just five months; understands that one in seven students do not have breakfast, mainly because they cannot afford it; believes that the lack of a nutritious meal in the morning contributes to detrimental effects on student attendance, studies and health; notes that the Breakfast Club works with Aramark to provide toast, cereal, porridge and a cup of tea or coffee every day to students, regardless of their means; recognises the Club's dedication to ensuring that students are well-nourished and ready to learn, and thanks it for its remarkable contribution to the community.
