Irvine’s Diamond Couple, John and Davina Smith
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates John and Davina Smith, who are from Irvine, on their 60th wedding anniversary celebrations; notes that the couple married on 25 February 1960 and have raised a family of four daughters, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; understands that the diamond anniversary celebrations were held on 21 February 2020 at the Riverside Lodge Hotel at which John and Davina were joined by close friends and family; notes that £460 was raised at the event for Cancer Research UK and Irvine and Troon Cancer Care; congratulates John and Davina on their anniversary, and wishes them many more happy years to come.
