The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Primal Strength, which is an Uddingston-based gym equipment manufacturer, on being shortlisted in the High Growth Business of the Year category at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Celebrating Small Business Awards 2020; notes that these awards celebrate small businesses and self-employed people, including what it sees as the huge contribution that they make to the economy and communities; understands that they will be presented on 19 March in Edinburgh, with over 200 businesses represented; notes that the category that Primal Strength is a finalist in recognises businesses that have experienced exceptional growth in sales, profit, market share or employment; believes that the Uddingston firm has demonstrated the highest level of growth with a strong plan for sustainable financial performance; understands that the judges have been particularly impressed at how quickly it has reached a multi-million pound turnover in just a few years; believes that it has achieved this by successfully establishing a cutting edge, design-focussed brand; considers that awards such as these are important in recognising the significant and crucial role of small businesses across Scotland, and sends its best wishes to Primal Strength, and all of the other finalists, both for the ceremony and as they continue their important work.
