Starcatchers, Arts and Early Years Engagement
The motion
That the Parliament notes the work done by Starcatchers, Scotland’s national arts and early years organisation specialising in creating performances and exploring creative activity for babies, toddlers and young children aged 0 to five and the adults who care for them; notes that Starcatchers runs community engagement projects, including Expecting Something, which runs weekly in Lochgelly; further notes that this is aimed at young parents and boosts their confidence while allowing them to bond with their babies and peers in a safe, fun and artist-led environment; welcomes the work of Starcatchers and believes that community engagement with the arts is important at a young age and that it provides positive benefits to both babies and parents; praises all those involved in bringing these projects to fruition, and wishes them every success in the future.
