Vicky Carson, Captain of U20 Women’s GB Ball Hockey Team
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Vicky Carson on being named as the Captain of the U20s Women’s Great Britain Ball Hockey Team; understands that ball hockey is closely related to ice hockey but is played on a non-ice surface, using a ball instead of a puck; notes that Vicky only took up ice and ball hockey in 2012 after watching the U18 World Championships that took place in Dumfries; recognises that her captaincy comes after years of hard work, which has included her regularly travelling to training in Sheffield and elsewhere across the country; considers that it is also recognition of her having an enthusiastic attitude and a strong team spirit; commends Vicky for her efforts, and wishes her, and the rest of the team, every success.
