The Men’s Shed Marches into Gordon Barracks

That the Parliament congratulates the Bridge of Don and District Men’s Shed on securing its first permanent home; acknowledges that the meeting place will now be located at the Guardhouse within Gordon Barracks; notes that the club is open to adults over the age of 18; further notes that the club’s aim is to provide social activities as well as a chance for people to pass on their skills to others; recognises the social and health benefits of Men’s Sheds in reducing isolation, loneliness and in empowering communities; understands that the international Men's Shed movement has grown exponentially in the last few years and considers that it has already proven its worth, enriching the lives of men who attend; believes that this new location will attract more members, and encourages all men, regardless of their age, to participate.
