Babcock to Manufacture Ventilators in Rosyth
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that Babcock is to commence the manufacture of 10,000 ventilators; acknowledges that the defence and engineering company, which is a significant local employer at its Rosyth Dockyard, has responded quickly to the UK Government’s ventilator challenge; applauds the award of the contract by the UK Government to manufacture 10,000 Zephyr Plus ventilators, subject to regulatory approvals; understands that this product is being developed in collaboration with an established major international supplier of critical care ventilators, and wishes the company all the best in its endeavours.
