Greens of Tillicoultry
The motion
That the Parliament commends the business, Greens of Tillicoultry, which has introduced that a range of measures to assist vulnerable people and others who are self-isolating in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, including by offering free home delivery for over 60s and people at high risk of contracting the virus; notes that the shop, which is working closely with struggling businesses to benefit the community, has taken on people who have lost their jobs because of the outbreak and has introduced free coffee for all NHS and emergency service staff until further notice; acknowledges that it has arranged for its bakery partner, Fisher & Donaldson, to bag flour into 1kg bags for customers and has placed an order with John Henderson Meat Specialists, which had experienced the collapse of its supply to high-end hotels and restaurants in the wake of the lockdown; notes that Greens has brought forward a staff pay increase by two weeks, with further bonuses planned along with free coffees and discretionary food budgets for its employees, and applauds the business and its managing director, Harris Aslam, for these truly magnanimous and selfless gestures for the good of the community and Fisher & Donaldson and John Henderson Meat Specialists on their excellent work.
