Motion · S5M-21517 · 21 Apr 2020
NHS Fife Connecting Families During the COVID-19 Outbreak
The motion
That the Parliament notes the recent donation of £500,000 to the Fife Health Board Endowment Fund from an anonymous donor; understands that the purpose of this donation excludes anything that is a "core" function of NHS Fife and that it has been stipulated that it is to go toward helping NHS staff and patients through the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that NHS Fife has now purchased 55 iPads for the use of patients to help them to remain in contact with their families, as visitors are not currently allowed; applauds the decision to use some of the donation in this innovative way to help families remain in contact while their loved ones are in hospital; wishes all at NHS Fife well, and appreciates the work that they are doing at this difficult time.
