National Tea Day 2020
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that 21 April 2020 is National Tea Day, the official day in the UK to celebrate people's love of tea; notes that 2020 marks the celebration's fifth anniversary; recognises that the team behind the initiative has pledged to deliver 10,000 tea kits to care homes and hospitals; notes that each £10 donation will also support Mind, one of the UK's leading mental health charities, to help bring people together; understands that, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the team is running a national virtual tea party, named SolidariTea!, and believes that it has never been more important to recognise the importance of tea in bringing people together to help tackle feelings of isolation, loneliness and anxiety.
