Forth Valley Welcome Charity Recognised for Refugee Support
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Forth Valley Welcome on receiving the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award possible for voluntary groups in the UK; acknowledges the positive impact of its campaigns and work in Stirling and Clackmannanshire communities; commends their 70+ volunteers who dedicate their time to supporting and welcoming refugees settle into new lives in Scotland, and recognises the important role that organisations such as Forth Valley Welcome play in forging the inclusive, tolerant and welcoming Scotland that this Parliament and its representatives strive for.
