MYPAS Awarded £139,000 in Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates MYPAS on being awarded £139,000 by The Henry Smith Charity; understands that this will be used to provide three years' funding for a full-time counsellor to deliver counselling to young people aged between 12 and 18 in Midlothian; considers that the services provided by MYPAS in Midlothian are in high demand and are critical to the young people of the constituency; highlights the importance of mental health services being provided to young people across Scotland; supports the continued provision of such valuable services to the young people of Midlothian, including those provided by MYPAS, which has been providing counselling services in the area for over 20 years, and wishes everyone involved all the best going forward with this funding.
